Join Wisconsin Theater Arts for a hands-on experience in the world of technical theater!
Students enrolled in this class will be introduced to all things backstage including the parts of the stage itself and technical theater vocabulary. They will also learn now to brainstorm ideas for set and prop design, create a scale paper model, and learn how to build an actual theatrical set.
Students will also become crew members for an upcoming acting production class. They will help behind the scenes to prepare and create for the show and work backstage during the dress rehearsals and performance to keep things running smoothly and safely. Students will gain valuable technical theater and backstage experience.
Crew members are incredibly important to the success of any production. They support the vision of the directors, designers, and performers. We’d love for you to help us bring magic to the stage!
