Explore storytelling and creative expression in this creative dramatics and movement class! Classic stories such as fairy tales and folk tales as well as modern picture book stories will come to life each week while encouraging communication, collaboration, and the understanding of story structure.

In this six week class, Homeschool students will experience:

  • imaginative play,
  • theater games,
  • character-building exercises,
  • creative movement, and
  • visual arts activities.

Acting develops a student’s ability to speak clearly, creatively, and confidently. This class will strengthen their ability to cooperate with others, focus on a task, and gain self confidence.

As we work on all of these skills students will be learning basic stage skills such as stage directions, theater vocabulary, blocking for a performance scene, and line memorization.

Students will apply all the skills they've learned in their final class day performance scene showcase.
